Frequently Asked Questions
List Car Insurance and Deposit
Car of your choice which comes with full insurance that covers the vehicle and third parties, as well as a reduced loss/theft damage liability insurance. Each car is subject to an individual franchise deposit, and in the case of any loss/damages, the first amount will be deducted from this deposit. Thereafter all other costs will be covered by the insurance. Deposits range from around 3.000 EUR for a car such as a Porsche Boxster, up to around 10.000 EUR for cars such as a Ferrari.
The driver is held liable up to the total value of the vehicle if the car is damaged or stolen intentionally or by gross negligence.

Car Breakdown/recovery
In the event that the car breaks down (mechanical / not the fault of the renter), the vehicle will be collected and replaced with a replacement car as part of the insurance cover. We cannot, however, guarantee the same model, or even class, as this will be subject to availability at the time - we of course try our very best. The recovery time will be dependent on the speed of the recovery service, normally from the manufacturer, so we cannot be held responsible for any loss of time, or ability to complete a driving tour exactly as this was planned. Further, if after inspection of the car, it was deemed that the client's driving caused the break - in such a situation we reserve the right to charge for the pickup and replacement vehicle costs. This would of course be at the assessment of a professional garage.
If the car breaks down because of the way it was driven, or cannot be driven due to an accident, then the recovery /repair /car replacement costs would be charged to the deposit, subject to the maximum franchise - replacement car costs would in this case be discussed at the time
In the situation of burst tires, these are not covered by the insurance, however, the recovery situation will vary on a case-by-case basis - normally, we will try to get the car to the nearest garage where a replacement tire(s) can be fitted or tire repaired, so as to keep any cost to the absolute minimum. Please note that it is a legal requirement to replace tires as a "pair" unless the tires are almost brand new.
Changes to Itinerary
Every effort is made to ensure that the journey complies with the description given to the Traveler at the time of booking. However, Tramontana DC cannot accept any liability for any changes or inaccuracies that occur between the time of the booking and the commencement of the Hire Period. We reserve the right to make alterations to pre-agreed driving routes/itineraries or car in the unlikely event of either road closures or unseasonal weather conditions - due to the unpredictability of such events, these will be communicated to the customer no later than 24 hours before the date that the drive is due to commence. With regards to car rentals, cars will be fixed at the time of the booking, however, in exceptional situations, we reserve the right to change cars (to an equal or higher category car) due to exceptional circumstances, such as theft or damage to a car previously allocated.
Liability
The Traveler undertakes the journey entirely at their own risk and Tramontana DC cannot be responsible for any injuries caused to the Traveler, his/her guests or any third parties. In addition, we will not be liable to compensate the Traveler for any damage or loss of enjoyment in respect of the Traveler’s journey if the failure in the enjoyment was the Traveler’s fault or could have been reasonably foreseen. Our liability in any event for any damage or loss (including both direct and indirect loss of enjoyment) will not, in any event, be greater than tour’s price.

Am I the only driver on track during driving session?
At Tramontana DC, all tracks—whether racing, buggy, or motorcycle—are fully privatized for our experiences, ensuring an exclusive and focused environment. For your GT4 sessions, car cross, and sport buggy experiences, you will have the track entirely to yourself, allowing you to fully immerse in this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
For the Super Sport bike sessions, the track will be shared with a maximum of four other riders from your group. This setup ensures minimal traffic, no unnecessary pressure, and the freedom to enjoy the track at your own pace while maintaining a safe and exhilarating experience.
Are there any restrictions on driver size or height?
Size and weight requirements vary depending on the specific driving experience. Generally, drivers should be between 1.50 meters and 1.90 meters tall, weigh no more than 95 kg (220 lbs), and have a maximum shoe size of EU 45. If you're unsure whether you meet these requirements, feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist.
For the days on track, do I need to know the Flag Rules?
Yes! Understanding flag signals is an essential part of track safety, and we include it in our program. You’ll receive a detailed briefing before your session begins. However, it’s always a smart idea to familiarize yourself with them beforehand:
Yellow Flag
Indicates danger. Drive cautiously, reduce speed smoothly and predictably, and prepare to brake. Absolutely no overtaking is allowed until the signal is lifted with a green flag.
Red Flag
Signals a serious hazard—be ready to stop. The session has been halted for a specific reason. Raise a hand signal to alert riders behind you, reduce speed steadily, and proceed cautiously. Be aware that there could be a rider or bike on the track due to an accident. If a marshal stands on the track with a red flag, you must not proceed until directed. No overtaking is permitted.
Red and Yellow Striped Flag
Indicates a slippery surface on the track, such as oil, fuel, or coolant. Adjust your speed accordingly. This flag may also signal the onset of rain.
White Flag
Warns of a slow vehicle on the track, such as an ambulance or a track marshal’s vehicle. Pay close attention, prepare to brake, and adjust your speed.
Blue Flag
Indicates that a faster rider is approaching to overtake. During sessions with riders of varying speeds and abilities, do not alter your line or move unpredictably. Stay consistent and be aware of the overtaking rider.
Green Flag
Signals the track is clear, and all previous warnings are canceled. Normal riding can resume.
Black Flag
Accompanied by your start number, this flag indicates disqualification or a technical issue with your vehicle. Complete the lap promptly and exit the track. Report to the race manager for further instructions.
Chequered Flag
Marks the end of the session. Finish the lap at approximately 80% of your speed and exit the track. Do not suddenly reduce your speed, as other vehicles may still be following closely.
By understanding these flags, you’ll ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the track for yourself and others!
Offenses
Participants are responsible for administrative offences such as speeding and parking tickets and must pay them themselves. If you commit a misdemeanour during the event, you will be notified of this after the event and asked to pay the corresponding costs.
